Catholic Sports AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas All-Americans Lindsay Gardner (Katy, Texas/Katy) and Cat Osterman (Houston, Texas/Cypress Springs) were selected to the National Softball Training Team, USA Softball announced this week. Gardner, a senior infielder for the Longhorns, and Osterman, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, were chosen from a pool of 52 athletes from around the nation at the National Team Camp on Sept. 26-29. "I am honored to be chosen as one of the top 22 softball players in the country," said Texas softball pitcher, Cat Osterman, pitches four perfect games, makes debut on ESPN, she is rumored to be sought after by some well known New York talent agency if she is discovered according to John Long.
